No 2027 date yet, but the 2026 Raptors vs Clippers game at Rogers Arena is only days away.
Updated October 4, 2026
Will there be an NBA game in Vancouver in 2027? It is one of the most searched questions among basketball fans in British Columbia, and for good reason: Vancouver has become one of the most regular stops of the NBA Canada Series, and the city still remembers its own NBA team, the Vancouver Grizzlies. This guide explains what is confirmed today, what the city's history suggests, and how to be ready for tickets when the 2027 games are announced.
First, the essential point: no NBA game in Vancouver has been announced for 2027. The NBA has not revealed any date, venue or matchup for its 2027-28 preseason in Canada. The preseason calendar is usually published in the summer, generally around August 2027. Until then, anything you read about a 2027 Vancouver game is a projection, not a fact.
Second, and more urgent: the 2026 Vancouver game has not been played yet. The Toronto Raptors face the LA Clippers at Rogers Arena on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Pacific (6:30 p.m. Eastern), and tickets are still available. If you want to see NBA basketball in Vancouver this season, head to our NBA Vancouver 2026 page right now. After October 10, that game will join the history table below.
What we can say is how the process worked in 2026. The NBA confirmed its two Canadian games during the summer. Fans who registered on nbacanadagames.com received access to an exclusive presale on Tuesday, August 18 or Wednesday, August 19, 2026, and the general public sale opened on Thursday, August 20. The games themselves were scheduled for early October. NBA Canada Series games have traditionally been played between late September and mid-October.
The 2026 edition is officially marketed as the NBA Vancouver Game presented by Bell (hashtag #NBAVancouverGame). Here are the key facts:

It is the second and final NBA game played in Canada outside Toronto in 2026. A week earlier, on October 3, the Raptors opened their preseason in Quebec City, where the Miami Heat won 129-105 at the Videotron Centre. Read the recap on our NBA Quebec City 2026 page. There is no NBA game in Montreal this year (more on our NBA Montreal page).
After Vancouver, the Raptors host the New York Knicks in Toronto on October 13, play in New York on October 15 and in Detroit on October 16, before opening the regular season against the Chicago Bulls on October 21, 2026. All the dates are on our October 2026 NBA Canada schedule.
Vancouver's relationship with the NBA goes back to the Vancouver Grizzlies, who played in the city from 1995 to 2001 before moving to Memphis. Their home was the arena then known as GM Place, today Rogers Arena. Since the Grizzlies left, the NBA Canada Series has been the main way for local fans to see the league in person.
Here are the Vancouver games we have verified in recent years:
| Date | Venue | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Sep 29, 2018 | Rogers Arena, Vancouver | Toronto Raptors 122 – 104 Portland Trail Blazers |
| Oct 17, 2019 | Rogers Arena, Vancouver | Dallas Mavericks 102 – 87 LA Clippers (no Raptors) |
| Oct 8, 2023 | Rogers Arena, Vancouver | Toronto Raptors 112 – 99 Sacramento Kings |
| Oct 6, 2025 | Rogers Arena, Vancouver | Denver Nuggets 112 – 108 Toronto Raptors |
| Oct 10, 2026 | Rogers Arena, Vancouver | Toronto Raptors vs LA Clippers (upcoming, 3:30 p.m. PT) |
Three things stand out. Vancouver has hosted in 2018, 2019, 2023, 2025 and 2026, making it one of the most frequent cities in the series. The NBA has been happy to bring neutral matchups here too, like Dallas against the LA Clippers in 2019. And the Raptors' record in town is mixed: comfortable wins over Portland in 2018 and Sacramento in 2023, but a narrow 112-108 loss to Denver in 2025.
This section is a forecast, written in the conditional. It is not an announcement.
The trend is favourable. With games in 2023, 2025 and 2026, Vancouver looks close to a regular fixture of the series, and the NBA has chosen Rogers Arena more often than any other Canadian venue outside Toronto in recent seasons. The city's history with the Grizzlies and the size of the Lower Mainland market both work in its favour.
That said, the NBA also rotates cities. Montreal, absent in 2026 after hosting in 2022, 2023 and 2024, could be a priority in 2027, and Quebec City has just joined the map. The league could also choose a single Canadian game, or return to a city like Edmonton. In other words, a 2027 Vancouver game would be a reasonable bet, but it remains a bet. Compare the scenarios on our NBA Canada Series 2027 guide, our NBA Montreal 2027 page and our NBA Quebec City 2027 page.
Rogers Arena is home to the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL. It opened in 1995 as GM Place and was the Grizzlies' arena. It seats about 19,000 people and sits on the edge of downtown, within walking distance of Gastown and BC Place.
The NBA did not publish face-value prices for the 2026 Vancouver game; face values are set by the official box office. As an indicative snapshot, on October 3, 2026, the resale market showed 91 listings for Raptors vs Clippers, priced from about €150 to €1,680 per ticket, roughly CA$220 to CA$2,500 depending on the seating category. These figures are neither official nor guaranteed, and 2027 prices could be very different depending on the matchup, the date and demand.
| Indicator (Oct 3, 2026) | Value |
|---|---|
| Entry-level resale (upper level) | about CA$220 (about €150) |
| Top resale (premium and courtside areas) | about CA$2,500 (about €1,680) |
| Number of listings observed | 91 |
| Official face value | not published by the NBA |
A preseason game is not a regular-season game, and it helps to know the difference before you buy. Teams use these October games to test rotations, give minutes to newcomers and get back into rhythm after the summer. Coaches may limit the playing time of some players, and the result does not count in the standings. For fans in Vancouver, though, the atmosphere is anything but low-key: the NBA only comes to town once a year at most, and the crowd at Rogers Arena tends to treat the occasion as a real event.
Expect a full game-night production: team introductions, music, on-court entertainment during breaks and plenty of fans wearing jerseys from across the league, including vintage Grizzlies gear. Because the Raptors are Canada's team, many fans cheer for Toronto, but the visiting side often has its own supporters too, especially when it comes from the US West Coast, as the Clippers do in 2026.
Preseason games are also a good option for families and first-timers. The pace is relaxed, the game lasts about the same time as a regular-season game, and the experience is the same as any NBA night. If you are bringing children, check the arena's rules on age and ticketing before purchase, as policies are set by the venue.
To help you plan, here are three possible scenarios for 2027, all hypothetical:
Whatever happens, the alert below is the simplest way to know which scenario becomes reality.
NBA preseason games in Vancouver attract fans from all over British Columbia, from across Canada and from the US Pacific Northwest. If you are travelling, book accommodation as soon as the date is confirmed, because hotels downtown fill quickly on event weekends. Remember the time difference if you are coordinating with friends in Toronto or Montreal: 3:30 p.m. in Vancouver is 6:30 p.m. in the East. And if the trip is about seeing the Raptors, our Toronto Raptors page covers their full season, home games at Scotiabank Arena included, while the Raptors and NBA Canada 2026-2027 schedule lists every game.
No NBA game in Vancouver has been announced for 2027, and the 2027-28 preseason calendar is generally published around August 2027. The 2026 game, Raptors vs Clippers on Saturday, October 10, at Rogers Arena, is just days away and tickets are still available. Vancouver's recent record in the series makes a 2027 return plausible, but only the NBA can confirm it. Sign up for our alert and we will email you as soon as it does.
Not announced. As of October 4, 2026, the NBA has not confirmed any game in Vancouver for 2027, nor any date or opponent. The preseason schedule is usually revealed in the summer, generally around August 2027. Vancouver's frequent appearances in the series make a return plausible, but it is not confirmed.
Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Pacific time (6:30 p.m. Eastern), at Rogers Arena, 800 Griffiths Way. The Toronto Raptors play the LA Clippers. As of October 4, tickets are still available through the official sale and on the resale market. All the details are on our NBA Vancouver 2026 page.
The NBA did not publish face values. On October 3, 2026, an indicative look at the resale market showed 91 listings from about €150 to €1,680 per ticket, roughly CA$220 to CA$2,500 depending on the seats. These are not official prices and they are not a guide to guaranteed 2027 prices.
There is no sale date because no game has been announced. In 2026, fans registered on nbacanadagames.com had access to a presale on August 18 or 19 and the general sale opened on August 20. A similar calendar in 2027 is possible but not guaranteed.
Among the games we have verified, Vancouver hosted in 2018 (Raptors 122-104 Portland), 2019 (Dallas 102-87 LA Clippers), 2023 (Raptors 112-99 Sacramento), 2025 (Denver 112-108 Raptors) and 2026 (Raptors vs Clippers on October 10). That makes it one of the most regular stops of the series.
Yes. The Vancouver Grizzlies played in the NBA from 1995 to 2001, at the arena then called GM Place, now Rogers Arena. The franchise moved to Memphis in 2001. Since then, preseason games of the NBA Canada Series have been the main chance for local fans to see the league live.
No. Since no 2027 game has been announced, no legitimate seller can offer tickets. Be cautious with any website or listing claiming to sell 2027 Vancouver seats. The safest approach is to register on nbacanadagames.com, wait for the official announcement and buy from the arena's official box office.
The easiest way is the SkyTrain to Stadium–Chinatown station, a short walk from the arena. Rogers Arena is also within walking distance of downtown, Gastown and BC Place. Parking fills up fast on event days, so transit is usually the better choice. Arrive early for security checks.
