NBA CANADA SERIES 2027: DATES, CITIES AND TICKETS

No 2027 dates yet: here is what we know, what history suggests and how to be first in line for tickets.

Updated October 4, 2026

The NBA Canada Series 2027 is the question every basketball fan outside Toronto starts asking as soon as the October preseason games wrap up. Will the Raptors come back to Vancouver? Will Montreal get its game back after sitting out 2026? Will Quebec City, which hosted its first-ever NBA game on October 3, 2026, be invited again? This guide gathers everything that is actually known today, separates verified facts from educated guesses, and explains how to get tickets the moment the 2027 games are announced.

The short answer, as of October 4, 2026: no date, no city and no matchup has been announced for the 2027 NBA Canada Series. The NBA usually reveals its preseason schedule during the summer, so the 2027-28 preseason calendar would normally be published around August 2027. Anything you see before that is speculation, and any "ticket sale" for a 2027 Canada game before an official announcement should be treated with suspicion.

What is the NBA Canada Series?

The NBA Canada Series is the league's program of preseason games played in Canadian cities other than Toronto. It was officially launched in 2012, although preseason NBA games had already been staged in Canada outside Toronto before that, notably in 1990. The idea is simple: bring live NBA basketball to fans who rarely get to see it in person, usually with the Toronto Raptors as the headline team, sometimes with two visiting teams facing each other.

Since 2012 the series has visited six Canadian cities: Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa. Quebec City became the seventh in 2026. There was no series in 2017, when the NBA moved the start of its regular season earlier, and no games in 2020 and 2021 because of health and travel restrictions.

In 2026 the NBA marketed its two Canadian games under new names: the NBA Quebec City Game presented by Bell and the NBA Vancouver Game presented by Bell, with an official website at nbacanadagames.com and the official hashtags #NBAVancouverGame and #NBAMatchVilleDeQuebec. Many fans and media still use the umbrella name "NBA Canada Series", and that is the name we use on this site.

NBA Canada Series 2027: what has been announced?

Nothing yet. To be completely clear:

What we do know is the rhythm of previous editions. Games are traditionally played between late September and mid-October, at the start of the preseason. In 2026 the games were played on October 3 and October 10, the presale took place on August 18 or 19 and the general sale opened on Thursday, August 20. If the NBA keeps a similar calendar, the 2027 announcement would be expected in the summer of 2027, followed quickly by a presale. That is a pattern, not a promise.

The 2026 games: Quebec City and Vancouver

The 2026 edition had exactly two games, and they were the only NBA games played in Canada outside Toronto this year. There was no game in Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, Winnipeg or anywhere else.

Quebec City, October 3, 2026 (final)

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 7 p.m. Eastern, the Toronto Raptors faced the Miami Heat at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City. It was the first NBA Canada Series game ever played in Quebec City and the Raptors' first preseason game of 2026. The Heat won 129-105. Our full recap is on the NBA Quebec City 2026 page.

Vancouver, October 10, 2026 (upcoming)

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Pacific (6:30 p.m. Eastern), the Raptors play the LA Clippers at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. As of today, tickets are still available, both through the official sale and on the resale market. Everything you need for that game is on our NBA Vancouver 2026 page.

After Vancouver, the Raptors' preseason continues with a home game against the New York Knicks on October 13 at Scotiabank Arena, then road games in New York on October 15 and in Detroit on October 16. The regular season opens on October 21, 2026, at home against the Chicago Bulls. You can follow the whole month on our October 2026 NBA Canada schedule and the full season on the Raptors and NBA Canada 2026-2027 schedule.

Verified history of the NBA Canada Series (2018-2026)

The table below lists the games outside Toronto that we have verified, from 2018 to 2026. Earlier editions (2012-2016) also took the series to Winnipeg, Calgary, Ottawa and other cities, but we only publish results we have been able to check.

A few patterns stand out. First, the Raptors are the backbone of the series, but the NBA has also sent neutral matchups to Canada, such as Dallas against the LA Clippers in Vancouver in 2019 and Detroit against Oklahoma City in Montreal in 2023. Second, Vancouver and Montreal have been the two pillars in recent years: Vancouver hosted in 2018, 2019, 2023, 2025 and 2026; Montreal hosted in 2018, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Third, the league is willing to try new markets, as Edmonton (2022) and Quebec City (2026) showed.

Which cities could host in 2027?

What follows is our reading of the trends, written in the conditional on purpose. None of it is an announcement.

Vancouver

Vancouver would be the most natural candidate. The city had its own NBA team, the Vancouver Grizzlies, from 1995 to 2001, before the franchise moved to Memphis, and Rogers Arena has welcomed the series again and again. With games in 2023, 2025 and 2026, Vancouver looks like a near-regular stop. See our NBA Vancouver 2027 guide.

Montreal

Montreal hosted in 2018, 2022, 2023 and 2024, then was left out in 2026. Its last NBA game remains the Raptors' 125-98 win over the Washington Wizards at the Bell Centre on October 6, 2024. A return in 2027 would make sense given the size of the market and the Bell Centre's capacity, but it is not confirmed. Details on our NBA Montreal 2027 page, and general information on our NBA Montreal page.

Quebec City

Quebec City made its debut in 2026. Whether the NBA returns quickly could depend on how the league judges this first experience. Nothing has been said about 2027. Follow our NBA Quebec City 2027 page for updates.

Other cities

Edmonton (2022), Calgary, Winnipeg and Ottawa have all been part of the series since 2012. A comeback in one of them cannot be ruled out, but there is no sign of it today.

Ticket prices: what 2026 tells us

The NBA did not publish face-value prices for the 2026 games; those are set by each venue's official box office. What we can share is an indicative snapshot of the resale market, recorded on October 3, 2026. These are not official prices and are not guaranteed for 2027.

GameResale range observedListings
Vancouver, Raptors vs Clippers (Oct 10, 2026)about €150 to €1,680 per ticket (roughly CA$220 to CA$2,500)91 listings
Quebec City, Raptors vs Heat (Oct 3, 2026, game day)about €63 to €1,020 per ticket53 listings

Two lessons emerge. Prices vary enormously by seating category, from upper-level seats to courtside. And a game-day market, like Quebec City's, can offer lower entry prices than a market a week out. For 2027, the best value will normally come from the official presale and general sale, before resale prices settle.

How to buy NBA Canada Series 2027 tickets

  1. Wait for the official announcement. The NBA will confirm cities, dates and teams. Until then, nothing is on sale legitimately.
  2. Register on nbacanadagames.com. In 2026, fans who registered received access to an exclusive presale on August 18 or 19, ahead of the general sale on August 20.
  3. Buy from the venue's official box office. This is the safest way to pay face value.
  4. If you use resale, choose a platform that offers a buyer guarantee, compare the seat location carefully and check the final price with fees.
  5. Sign up for our alert so you hear about the announcement without having to check every day.

In summary

The 2027 NBA Canada Series has not been announced: no date, no city, no teams. History suggests games in late September or early October, an announcement in the summer and a short presale window on nbacanadagames.com. Vancouver looks like a regular stop, Montreal is due for a comeback after its 2026 absence, and Quebec City has just joined the map. We will update this page the moment the NBA speaks.

Frequently asked questions

Have the NBA Canada Series 2027 dates been announced?

No. As of October 4, 2026, the NBA has not announced any date, city or matchup for the 2027 preseason games in Canada. The preseason schedule is usually published in the summer, so the 2027-28 calendar would generally be expected around August 2027. Sign up for our alert to be notified as soon as it is official.

Which cities hosted NBA games in Canada in 2026?

Only two: Quebec City, where the Miami Heat beat the Toronto Raptors 129-105 at the Videotron Centre on October 3, 2026, and Vancouver, where the Raptors face the LA Clippers at Rogers Arena on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Pacific. There was no game in Montreal or any other Canadian city outside Toronto.

Will Montreal host an NBA game in 2027?

It has not been announced. Montreal hosted in 2018, 2022, 2023 and 2024 and its last game was the Raptors' 125-98 win over Washington at the Bell Centre on October 6, 2024. A return in 2027 is possible given the market's history, but nothing is confirmed and it should be treated as a hypothesis only.

When will NBA Canada Series 2027 tickets go on sale?

No sale date exists yet. In 2026, fans who registered on nbacanadagames.com could access a presale on August 18 or 19, and the general sale opened on August 20. If the NBA follows a similar pattern, the 2027 sale would come shortly after the summer announcement, but that is not guaranteed.

How much do NBA Canada Series tickets cost?

The NBA did not publish face-value prices in 2026. As an indicative snapshot of the resale market on October 3, 2026, Vancouver seats ranged from about €150 to €1,680 (roughly CA$220 to CA$2,500) and Quebec City seats from about €63 to €1,020 on game day. These figures are neither official nor guaranteed for 2027.

Do the Toronto Raptors always play in the NBA Canada Series?

Usually, but not always. The Raptors headline most games, yet the NBA has also staged neutral matchups, such as Dallas against the LA Clippers in Vancouver in 2019 and Detroit against Oklahoma City in Montreal in 2023. The teams for 2027 have not been announced.

Can I buy NBA Canada Series 2027 tickets now?

No. Since the games have not been announced, no legitimate seller can offer tickets for them. Be wary of any listing claiming to sell 2027 Canada games before the official announcement. Register on nbacanadagames.com and use the venue's official box office once sales open.
